Tancredi. A Retrospective – With over ninety works, this much-awaited retrospective marks the return to Venice of Tancredi Parmeggiani, among the most original and prolific Italian painters of the second half of the twentieth century.

Il mondo che non c’era (The world that wasn’t there) – is the title of the exhibition housed in the rooms of the Alberti Poja Palace in Rovereto from October 1st 2016 to January 6th 2017. An exhibition which is a journey discovering pre-Columbian civilizations who had lived for thousands of years in the lands conquered by force by the Europeans.

Bellotto e Canaletto. Lo stupore e la luce – After the success of the exhibition dedicated to Francesco Hayez last year, the Italian galleries of Milan dedicate an exhibition to two great Venetian painters: Canaletto and Bellotto. About 100 works, including paintings, drawings and engravings, a third of them never before exhibited in Italy today, to tell the story of landscape painting.

In the fifth centenary Ferrara celebrates the poem with an exhibition of paintings, sculptures, tapestries, books, manuscripts, musical instruments, ceramics, weapons and rare items.

    Non trascurerei, per chi dovesse trovarsi a Napoli e dintorni,
    Fabio Mauri – retrospettiva a luce solida (26.11.16 — 06.03.17 ) al MADRE di Napoli, Un’ampia mostra retrospettiva, dedicata ad uno dei più grandi artisti contemporanei, influente e seminale esponente delle neo-avanguardie della seconda metà del XX secolo.

    • Grazie per i suggerimenti. Non potendo inserire tutti gli eventi (altrimenti farei un post lungo un chilometro 😀 ) grazie per le tue segnalazioni.
      Soprattutto il Sud d’Italia ha bisogno di essere sostenuto nelle sue iniziative, così poco pubblicizzate!

    • E’ vero c’è tanto da vedere ed è una fortuna. Vuol dire che tutto sommato questo sciagurato Paese “vive” ancora di passioni.
      Grazie infinite per la segnalazione. Non conoscevo la storia di Gino Pellegrini e del suo lavoro incredibile al cinema.
      Spero di riuscire ad andare a vedere la mostra perchè mi hai proprio incuriosita.
      Un talento che ha lavorato per “West Side Story” , “L’ammutinamento del Bounty”, “La spada nella roccia”, “Mary Poppins”, “il Pianeta delle scimmie” e molti altri tra cui “Odissea nello spazio” di Stanley Kubrick, merita una visita alla mostra che lo ricorda.

  2. Mi piace questa selezione di mostre. Io ho visitato quella a Ferrara, interessante il tema, ma mi aspettavo molti più dipinti…..
