The Cattelan's Cake

Art and fashion have come together for the celebration of the 10 years of collaboration between the Fondazione Nicola Trussardi and Massimiliano Gioni. Darren Almond chocolates from the birthday cake by Maurizio Cattelan, Martin Creed live serenade from the keyring of Tacita Dean, by the fragrance of bread by Urs Fischer at the telegram sung by Paola Pivi.
An exclusive cocktail party, which took as its own teather the Biennale curated by Gioni. A celebration and above all a feast for live Trussardi style and spirit that has always characterized the Foundation. The party took place in the Arsenal and were present, as well as Gaia, Beatrice, Maria Luisa and Tommaso Trussardi, also the director of Vogue Italy Franca Sozzani, Jessica Chastain, Neil Barrett and Maurizio Cattelan. The event was a moment that confirmed that the relationship between art and fashion has become very tight. You can see it in the properties of the auction houses. The most important, Christie’s, for years belongs to tycoon François Pinault who is also a collector and who possesses the two museums in Venice at the Punta della Dogana and Palazzo Grassi. But even Prada, Louis Vuitton and many other fashion brands now consider art and especially contemporary art an alternative way to express their creativity.
