Renaissance è la seconda mostra inaugurata dal brand del lusso francese nel nuovo spazio a due passi da Piazza San Marco. Non è una mostra nel vero senso del termine, è piuttosto la rappresentazione di un’emozione. Una stanza buia, due dipinti del Quattrocento di Carpaccio e due video che ipnotizzano e realizzati dal geniale videomaker Bill Viola. Pur avendo cinque secoli di differenza, i quadri di Carpaccio e i video di Bill Viola si pongono le stesse domande ed esprimono medesime sensazioni. Il senso della vita, il significato di Vita e di Morte, lo scorrere del Tempo. Le due tavole di Carpaccio rappresentano due Madonne, una che tiene in braccio suo figlio in fasce e benedicente, l’altra con il figlio morto dopo la Deposizione. I due video di Bill Viola sono l’uno un tributo alla Pietà (Emergence, del 2002-il video lo trovate qui sotto) con un Cristo che merge dall’acqua come Risorto, che poi cade esamine tra le braccia della madre e di una donna, l’altro è un tuffo a rovescio nell’acqua (eternal Return) che descrive il passaggio di nascita, morte, rinascita. Per me questa visione è stato un tuffo nella bellezza dell’Arte che attraversa il tempo e continua a dialogare con il presente, ponendo interrogativi sempre attuali!
