Terry O'Neill. Pop Icons

Bowie And Taylor

Terry O’Neill James Bond

Curated by Cristina Carrillo de Albornoz, the retrospective dedicated to Terry O’Neill, contains some of his most famous works, 47 portraits documenting the most intimate moments and natural icons of pop of the last 40 years. Terry O’Neill was born in London in 1938 and can be called one of the most celebrated photographers of our time who was able to capture with extraordinary abilities, spontaneous and authentic images of many of the legends of the twentieth century; characters that have marked the history by becoming the true icons. Politicians, actors and singers with him are the perfect key to better express their personality. His best shots are often stolen from behind the scenes of film sets and concerts, informal moments in which subjects could feel free to be themselves. Living among the myths of the show and having with them a relationship of closeness and complicity in his fifty-year career O’Neill creates some of the most authentic portraits, by Frank Sinatra (photographed over thirty years) to Elvis Presley, Elton John to Bono, from Elizabeth Taylor to Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot, Ava Gadner to Marlene Dietrich. – (English translation powered by Google).
