The Venice Pavilion in the Giardini of Biennale will focus on the art of silk from 1st June to 24th November. Which means it returns, after half a century, to the function intended for it when it was built in 1932: a space dedicated to the applied arts. Landscapes, starry universes, legends, historic layers, meetings of culture and conflicts: this is the silk road. All possible interpretations explored by the six artists chosen to exhibit: The Russian AES + F, Marya Kazoun, Mimmo Roselli, Anahita Razmi, Marialuisa Tadei e Yiking Yin. For it was three prestigious Venetian firms that introduced the secrets and gave support to artists, welcoming them to their workshops: Bevilacqua, Fortuny and Rubelli, the heirs to the centuries-old art of weaving this precious thread.

Il Padiglione Venezia, ai Giardini della Biennale dal 1° giugno al 24 novembre, è incentrato sull’arte della seta. Questo significa il ritorno, dopo più di mezzo secolo, all’antica funzione per la quale fu costruito nel 1932: essere lo spazio dedicato alle arti applicate. Paesaggi, universi stellati, miti, stratificazioni storiche, intrecci di culture e conflitti: questo è la via della seta. Tutte possibili interpretazioni con le quali si sono confrontati i sei artisti scelti: il gruppo russo AES + F, Marya Kazoun, Mimmo Roselli, Anahita Razmi, Marialuisa Tadei e Yiking Yin. A introdurre ai segreti e a supportare gli artisti, accogliendoli nei loro atelier, sono state tre prestigiose aziende veneziane, Bevilacqua, Fortuny e Rubelli, eredi della secolare arte della tessitura.
