His collections are so important and large that they are divided into four sections: ancient masters, 19th century art, contemporary art, photography.
Skip the line to enter the Albertina Museum is the best way to visit this museum, easily reachable because it is located in the historic center of Vienna and which, also for this reason, is one of the most visited museums in the city.

ALBERTINA MUSEUM TICKETS: HISTORY AND VISIT TO THE MUSEUM

The name Albertina derives from Duke Albert of Saxe-Teschen, who lived in this building in 1793, together with his wife Maria Cristina, daughter of Empress Maria Teresa.
Duke Alberto was a refined collector and the first nucleus of the works in the collection is part of his personal collection.
After Alberto’s death, many other members of the imperial family decided to live in the palace, expanding it and enriching the art collections.

The visit to the Albertina Museum cannot, therefore, be limited to works of art because the building is by itself a masterpiece of Habsburg architecture.
There are about twenty rooms that can be admired, furnished with original objects and furniture, but entry into these environments may be restricted during the year as they are used for exhibitions or events.
