Alex Corno’s creations are the fruit of more than forty years of research, culminating in a unique sculptural language. In recent years, his works have become lighter, abandoning the material tensions of previous decades to acquire a lightness that recalls the sky.
His metal structures, increasingly thin and lamellar, seem to dance in space, while the pastel colours, applied with the precision of an enamel, lend an unexpected energy.

Don’t let the lightness fool you, however: each of Corno’s works conceals a complex balance between abstract forms and almost human, at times playful and ironic features. It is this dialogue between the serious and the playful, between the abstract and the human, that makes his sculptures so fascinating and unmistakable.
