ART DECO. THE ROARING TWENTIES IN ITALY

Rudolph Valentino and the Divines, the Great Gatsby, the Turandot, long pearl necklaces and fashion.
In San Domenico Museum, Forlì, the great season of Art Deco, the 1920s, also known as the Roaring Twenties, will live again. A period of time made up of contrasts, during which the European bourgeoisie was living searching for luxury and the pleasure of living, while history was drawing a gloomy future.

Dèco taste was a style capable of influencing at different levels the entire production of decorative arts, from furnishings to ceramics, from glass to wrought iron, from jewellery to fabrics and to fashion, like the shape of motorcars, advertising signs, sculpture and painting for decorative purposes, public buildings, railway stations and up to large middle-class residences.

All this in an exhibition which for the first time will illustrate this world and its inventions.
