Among the most important museums in the United States, the MET for almost 50 years did not ask to pay an entrance ticket and only asked to leave a voluntary offer, according to the “pay as you wish” policy.
A paradise for generations of visitors, but from 2018 everything has changed and to enter the museum you need to pay for a ticket and often make kilometers to buy it at the ticket office.
So here’s how to book your entrance and skip the line to enter the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Tickets to enter the MET can be purchased in 3 ways:

1 – at the ticket office, but you will need a lot of patience and queuing;

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is located at 1000 Fifth Avenue at 82nd street, in the so-called Museum Mile

From Sunday to Thursday from 10 to 17.30 and on Friday and Saturday from 10 to 21.

VISIT THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART (MET)

The MET is divided into 4 floors.
The ticket offices are located on the ground floor and useful tools for orientation are available, such as the map for the visit, which is very useful for not preserving the really important works.
The other 3 floors are dedicated to collections of works and objects of art.
In the map that you find at the entrance, each section of the museum is marked with a different color, also based on the origin of the works (African, European, Egyptian, medieval, Asian art, etc.).
