STATES OF MIND: POETICS OF THE SELF FROM PREVIATI TO BOCCIONI
The exhibition States of mind at the Palazzo dei Diamanti illustrates the Italian art of the late 19th century in a new way.
It’s an important moment for the advent of the modern age in which science and art explored the human mind like never before, and artists experimented new images in order to bring into their works feelings and emotions.
STATES OF MIND. The exhibition in Ferrara

Gaetano Previati: Paolo e Francesca, c. 1887. Bergamo, Fondazione Accademia Carrara Bergamo, su concessione Fondazione Accademia Carrara
The exhibition States of mind at the Palazzo dei Diamanti retraces the steps of the artists searching for something that could give expression to the states of mind.
Among them there will be the protagonists of the art scene at that time, from masters of Symbolism and Divisionism, such as Segantini, Previati, Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo, Angelo Morbelli and Medardo Rosso, up to masters of Futurism such as Balla, Carrà and Boccioni.
