Peder Mørk Mønsted (1859 – 1941) è stato un pittore realista danese Mønsted che nel corso della sua lunga carriera ha continuato a dipingere il paesaggio danese e la costa.

Peder Mørk Mønsted (1859 — 1941) was a Danish realist painter Mønsted that throughout his long career continued to paint the Danish landscape and coastline.
His is a romantic, poetic view of nature. He was an artist who depicted the grandeur and monumental aspect of the landscape, with a remarkable eye for detail and colour.

Mønsted è certamente un pittore preparato dal punto di vista tecnico, ma ha trasformato il suo virtuosimo in qualche cosa di sensazionale. I suoi paesaggi perfetti sono quasi un anticipo delle opere iperealiste.

Mønsted is certainly a painter prepared by the technical point of view, but has turned his virtuosity into something sensational. His landscapes are almost perfect in advance of the works iperealiste.
I am struck by the light of these paintings. Lately it has a vissazione for me, but the clear light, the reflections on the lakes and the sea and the sun are an amazing beauty.
