The East Side Gallery is probably the largest and longest open-air gallery in the world. It is a long stretch (1.3 km) of the Berlin Wall and is located near the center of Berlin. The paintings on the East Side Gallery document a period of change and express the euphoria and high hopes for a better and freer future for all peoples of the world.
It is an international memorial dedicated to freedom.
