The most eccentric exponent of Catalan Modernism, Antoni Gaudí, is also the architect behind some of Barcelona‘s most famous landmarks, such as the Sagrada Familia, Parc Güell, and numerous works of civil architecture, such as Casa Batlló, Casa Milà, and Casa Vicens. The ticket for Gaudí’s three houses in the city allows you to discover the Spanish artist’s genius in design, but also in interior decoration, which, together with all of Gaudí’s works to see in Barcelona, is an expression of his extravagant and extremely personal style.

Online tickets for Casa Batlló

The ticket to Casa Batlló gives you access to a building that stands out for its curved and sinuous lines and bizarre decorations. The work as a whole represents the unique combination of Gaudí’s artistic influences and references to the forms of nature.

With an online ticket for Casa Batlló, you can visit all floors of the house, including the roof, which resembles a dragon, accompanied by an audio guide available in Italian. Today, the visit is an immersive experience, thanks to the use of artificial intelligence and augmented reality, with background music by composer Dan Howard performed by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.

Casa Batlló is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and is wheelchair accessible. Tickets cannot be rescheduled but can be canceled until 11:59 p.m. on the day before the visit. Finally, by selecting the appropriate option during the purchase process, you can choose priority entry and skip the line.

Casa Batlló and Casa Milà: combined tickets

Casa Batlló is just one of the houses designed by Gaudí in Barcelona and one of seven works by the artist to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A ticket to Casa Battló and Casa Milà (also known as La Pedrera) will give you a double dose of Gaudí’s approach to civil architecture, both in terms of exterior and interior design.

The interior of Casa Milà is spread over five floors, covering a total of approximately 4,500 square meters; one floor houses a reconstruction of the apartment of the Milà family, who belonged to the wealthy bourgeoisie and commissioned Gaudí.

What characterizes La Pedrera, however, is its roof, decorated with chimneys reminiscent of chess pieces, from which you can also admire the Sagrada Familia. Casa Milà was also the last civil project Gaudí worked on in Barcelona.

Casa Batlló and Casa Milà are located on the same street, Passeig de Gràcia, and the combined ticket entitles you to a small discount. Casa Milà is open every day from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., with last admission an hour and a half before closing time. It is recommended that you arrive a few minutes early to allow time for security checks and to ensure you are admitted on time.

The ticket includes skip-the-line access and an audio guide. It cannot be rescheduled, but in case of unforeseen circumstances or changes to your plans, it can be canceled until 11:59 PM on the day before your visit by selecting the appropriate option during purchase.

Other works by Gaudí to see in Barcelona

As I mentioned, Antoni Gaudí did not devote himself solely to residential buildings, but his art ranged widely, always experimenting with new forms and new contexts.

Visit Parc Güell and Casa Batlló

The ticket to Casa Batlló and Parc Güell will also give you a taste of his creativity in outdoor spaces and natural surroundings. Parc Güell is a green space in the hills of Barcelona, commissioned by Eusebi Güell. It is open every day from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Don’t miss the spectacular terrace overlooking Barcelona and the colorful salamander along the staircase.

Tickets for the Sagrada Familia and Casa Batlló

The combined ticket for Casa Batlló and the Sagrada Familia is perfect for those who want to visit the famous church at an affordable price. Commissioned to Gaudí in 1883, he devoted himself exclusively to it from 1914, but never saw the work completed: it will only be finished on the centenary of his death in 2026.

The ticket for the Sagrada Familia also includes admission to the church museum, as well as the app and audio guide, for a total of 45 minutes of audio content. Access to the towers is not included.
