forli

Forlì is located in the historic region of Romagna. It’s surprising because you need to have a reason to go there (obviously), which for me was an exhibition, but once you get to know it, it stays in your heart. It’s full of surprises and interesting things to see.

Here are my tips for getting the most out of a visit to the city:

dormire

Accommodation: Hotel Executive – http://www.executiveforli.it/

Address: Viale Vittorio Veneto, 3E, 47100 Forlì.

It is a four-star hotel, but mainly used by people who are in Forlì for work. It is very convenient because it is close to the center, has a large parking lot, so arriving by car is not a problem, it is clean, and the breakfast is perfect for those who are in a hurry in the morning.

I liked it because: I like to stay in comfortable places, and this one is perfect for recharging your batteries and facing a day of art, culture, and work 🙂

ristorante

Lunch: Osteria San Domenico – http://www.osteriasandomenico.it/

Address: Via Marcolini 29 | corner of Piazza Guido da Montefeltro, 47121 – Forlì.

It is ranked No. 1 among restaurants in Forlì on Tripadvisor. It is located near the Museums of San Domenico and is a very nice, well-kept, and bright place. The staff is courteous and their cold cuts platter is amazing.

gelateria

For a break: Freddino – https://www.facebook.com/freddinogelato

Address: Viale dell’Appennino, 120, 47121 – Forlì.

Excellent ice cream and a choice of classic and unconventional flavors.

ristorante cena

Dining: Taverna di mezzo – http://www.tavernadimezzo.it/

Address: Via Cervese, 301 | Casemurate, 47123 – Forlì

Here you can enjoy a romantic and refined atmosphere. It has everything you need for a perfect evening: excellent service, great food, good wine, and background music.

A special place: Casa Artusi – http://www.casartusi.it/

Address: Via Costa 31, 47034 – Forlimpopoli.

A few kilometers from Forlì is Casa Artusi, a house-museum-restaurant and a place where the culinary ideas of Pellegrino Artusi (1820-1911), the father of Italian cuisine, are preserved and carried on. The restaurant is spectacular and the dinner is excellent at a very affordable price.

I like it because: I spent a special evening in good company and ate traditional Italian dishes with amazing flavors. The setting of the restaurant is wonderful, because you can walk through the rooms where Artusi lived, which preserve some of his memorabilia and a rich library.

punta di ferro

Shopping: Punta di Ferro Shopping Center – http://www.ccpuntadiferro.it/

Address: Exit A/14 Zona Fiera | Via Gordini, Forlì.

A large shopping center in an excellent location at the exit of the highway and the new ring road. Here you will find the best brands of clothing, makeup, perfumes, and food.

I like it because: When I went to Forlì, I realized while I was already on the road that I had forgotten my pajamas! (I’m famous for always forgetting something essential!). As soon as I got off the highway, I didn’t have to look far to find a place to buy a new pair, and it was 7 p.m. When I went in, I immediately looked for Intimissimi and found what I was looking for, but since I was there, I took a look around (there are lots of stores!) and also made some purchases at NaraCamicie 🙂
