Eccomi qui con la soluzione dell’#artpostgame della settimana scorsa. L’artista della foto era Jean-Michel Basquiat. In realtà era facilissimo, ma la più veloce a dare la risposta esatta è stata Paola (autrice di un blog interessante e che vi consiglio di visitare). Basquiat è stato, insieme a Keith Haring, uno dei primi street artists a portare l’Arte dalle strade metropolitane dentro le Gallerie.

Here I am with the solution of the # artpostgame last week. The artist of the picture was Jean-Michel Basquiat. In fact it was easy, but the faster you give the correct answer was Paola (author of an interesting Blog and that I recommend you visit). Basquiat was, along with Keith Haring, one of the first street artists to bring art from the streets into the underground galleries.

SAMO è lo pseudonimo usato agli inizi della sua carriera di writer, insieme ad Al Diaz. Il nome è un gioco di parole e nasce un giorno in cui i due stanno fumando marijuana alla City as School di New York. Basquiat lo inventa dalla sigla delle parole “Same Old Shit”, letteralmente “sempre la stessa merda”, intesa come l’erba che fumano.

SAMO is the pseudonym used early in his career as a writer, along with Al Diaz. The name is a play on words and comes a day when the two are smoking marijuana at City as School in New York. Basquiat invents the initials of the words “Same Old Shit”, literally “the same shit”, understood as the grass who smoke.
