After a radical restyling and enlargement of the exhibition spaces,Palazzo Mocenigo in Venice, the Study Centre for the History of Fabric and Costume reopens with a new section dedicated to Perfume.

The new layout, involving 20 rooms on the palazzo’s piano nobile, faithfully reproduces the arrangements of an aristocratic Venetian residence, and shows the evolution of trends in fashion, costume and fabrics, with the aim of highlighting hostorical and scientific aspects of the 18th century. The exciting new layout concludes with an extraordinay new display dedicated to the history of perfumes and essences. this is a completely new venture within the panorama of Italian museums. Yesterday I participated in the paint for the press and has been an extraordinary experience. I am preparing a post to show you all the photos and to explain the special feelings I’ve tried. Visit the new” Palazzo Mocenigo not just see art but through a piece of Venetian history. See you soon with all the pictures.
