Booking the entrance tickets to the Vatican Museums is essential if you want to make the most of your time to visit the Museums.
The Vatican Museums are huge, full of artworks and it’s hard to visit them, and if you waste your energy to queue, when you enter you’ll be already tired, and you will not appreciate properly the marvels they house, for example the Sistine Chapel.

Those who book their entrance tickets online, instead, can go immediately to the ticket office, where they will replace the reservation they have printed at home with the real entrance tickets, without waiting in line.
In this post how to skip the line !

If you want to visit the Vatican Museums without worrying about the queue at the entrance, there are two ways:

1- Visit the Vatican’s official website and select period and numbers of participants.

2- Book one of the several guided tours available every day and which follow different itineraries.
Also in this case all you have to do is visit the official website —> la visita

To book online an ID and the name of the participants are required.
Full entrance ticket with online booking is € 16 + € 4, but I assure you that booking in advance is a great relief because you don’t have to waste your time in line.

After the payment is confirmed the applicant will receive an e-mail with the confirmation of the booking and the voucher containing the reservation code. The applicant is asked to print off the voucher as to present it on the day of the visit at the ticket office.
The reservation will be checked by means of the barcode present on the voucher.

Be careful: don’t lose your reservation otherwise you can’t enter the Vatican Museums.
