Addio a Lou Reed. Aveva 71 anni ed è stato icona e pilastro del genere rock. La sua vita sregolata e la sua musica sono stati un vero e proprio mito per i giovani di varie generazioni. Tra le sue canzoni più famose non si possono non citare “Perfect day”, “Walk on the wild side”, “Sunday morning”.

Dedico un post alla sua memoria perchè è stato un musicista e un poeta del rock che più di altri ha legato la sua storia e la sua carriera al mondo dell’arte.
Lou Reed fondò i Velvet Underground nel 1966 insieme a John Cale e l’uscita del primo album del gruppo fu promossa e finanziata da Andy Warhol, che fu anche autore della famosa copertina con la banana. I suoi legami con l’arte però proseguono nel corso degli anni e si alternano alla sua carriera solista. Lou Reed si dedica in prima persona alla sperimentazione di linguaggi artistici diversi dalla musica e in particolare alla fotografia, riuscendo ad esporre le sue opere in prestigiosi musei e avviando importanti collaborazioni.
Le sue fotografie propongono paesaggi urbani in cui il silenzio e la staticità di un momento sembra divenire perenne. Io le trovo poetiche e voi?

Klimt, Gustav – “Cascina a Kammer presso l’Attersee” (1905-1908).
Il dipinto presentato coglie un momento di passaggio nella pittura paesaggistica di Gustav Klimt. La datazione non è certa ma lo colloco con tutta probabilità dopo le visite che l’artista fece a Ravenna (1903/1904) dove ebbe modo di ammirare i mosaici bizantini che tanto influenzarono il suo stile decorativo successivo.
Nel dipinto di forma quadrata (le dimensioni sono ugualmente stimate sulla base della maggior parte dei paesaggi realizzate che si attestano intorno al metro per lato), il pittore coglie lo scorcio di una cascina immersa nella natura. Siamo nelle vicinanze dell’Attersee, il lago dove Klimt per diversi anni trascorse le sue estati e amato luogo di villeggiatura dei viennesi.
Se la cascina viene dipinta con tecnica ancora realistica, la pianta in primo piano (forse un rampicante)  mostra già la tendenza, che diventerà più evidente nelle opere degli anni successivi, a creare a colpi di pennello delle piccole “tessere” che vanno a comporre una sorta di mosaico pittorico.
Il paesaggio è un mondo parallelo nell’arte di Klimt, un universo più intimo, più riflessivo rispetto ai grandi filoni della ritrattistica e delle opere allegoriche che hanno fatto grande il pittore austriaco. Ma ugualmente, anche nei paesaggi, Klimt conquista anno dopo anno un linguaggio sempre più maturo dove il realismo accademico lascia spazio ad un decorativismo che si spinge nelle opere tarde degli anni ’10 fino a sfiorare l’astrazione.
