Gabrielle Goliath espone con ardore e lirica un sentiero intrapreso diversi anni fa, emblematico del suo intero lavoro e della sua ostinata ed elegiaca ricerca artistica fondata sul ricordo, la riparazione e l’amore femminista nero.
Per la mostra Elegy l’artista ha pensato ad una struttura installativa ad hoc distribuita nei tre spazi della galleria, concependo una partitura articolata fatta di video, suoni immersivi, testi evocativi e fotografie. Prima esposizione di tutte le dieci performance filmate di Elegy, la mostra segna un momento fondamentale nel percorso artistico di Goliath: “Questo è per me un ricordo e una celebrazione profondamente gratificante di Elegy, un’opera che rimane centrale per la mia pratica e come sempre urgente nella sua richiesta politica”.
Gabrielle Goliath parteciperà alla prossima Biennale Arte 2024. (dal comunicato stampa)

L’artista presenta una serie di opere inedite dove il leitmotiv è il rapporto tra Arte e Design; un dialogo tra due mondi che da sempre si guardano amichevolmente e s’influenzano. Negli anni questa distanza si è sempre più assottigliata fino al punto in cui i confini sono perfettamente interscambiabili. Veneziano vuole celebrare i grandi protagonisti della storia dell’arte alla stessa stregua dei protagonisti del design internazionale di cui molti nati in Italia, come Achille Castiglioni, Alessandro Mendini, Ettore Sottsass, Aldo Rossi, Corrado Levi e Fabio Novembre. ESCHER IN MILAN: THE EXHIBITION DEDICATED TO ESCHER WILL ARRIVE IN LOMBARDY
Escher in Milan. Maurits Cornelis Escher is an artist who has been recently rediscovered in Italy.
In the last few years this artist has been the protagonist of very successful exhibitions in Rome, then in Bologna and eventually in Treviso. I visited the exhibition in Treviso and I published the photos in the post with my review.
Now Escher will arrive in Milan with an exhibition at the Palazzo Reale (the Royal Palace), which will feature several works already admired in the previous exhibitions. But there will be also some novelties.

My visit to the exhibition dedicated to Boccioni in Milan
Exhibition Boccioni in Milan. On the centenary of Umberto Boccioni’s death, Milan hosts an exhibition which retraces, in a new and original way, the artistic path of one of the main artists of the 20th century.
I took part in a reserved visit, just a few hours before the official inauguration of the exhibition. I visited the empty rooms of Palazzo Reale (the Royal Palace), where the works were ready to welcome all the visitors who were queuing up, waiting to enter.

Boccioni in Milan. A hundred years after the death of Umberto Boccioni, Milan celebrates the great artist with an exhibition devoted to his artistic path and his esteemed international reputation.
The exhibition Umberto Boccioni (1882-1916): genius and memory will be on view at the Palazzo Reale (the Royal Palace) from March 23rd to July 3rd 2016 and will feature 250 works, comprising drawings, paintings, sculptures, engravings, period photographs, books, magazines and documents.
